【剧情简介】

    年轻的美术教师郭云天（于寒）由大城市调到水城乡任教，他发现班内的古阿明（黄坤玄）是个绘画天才。古阿明家境贫穷，而且调皮捣蛋，但他对色彩和周围的事物有着极其敏锐的感觉和想象力。阿明母亲早丧，父亲是个朴实的茶农，照顾家庭的责任落在姐姐茶妹（李淑桢）的身上。

    郭老师受校长委托挑选美术选手，他推荐古阿明为代表，但其他老师都反对，认为应派乡长（陈松勇）的儿子林志鸿（陈维欣）做代表。投票结果阿明落选，郭老师带着阿明的一幅画离开水城乡。

    阿明由于营养不良，加上落选后伤心失望，得了肝病。父亲虽然变卖了饲养的小猪，还是救不了阿明的命。阿明死后，郭老师把阿明的画拿去参加世界儿童画比赛，得了金牌奖，消息传到了水城乡，记者争相采访，但阿明永远不能再画画了......
